This study examines the phenomenon of management within a historical perspective, starting from the first social structures of humanity up to the modern management approach. Management emerged as a result of individuals' needs to survive, coexist, and maintain social order since the early periods of human history; it has become an inseparable part of daily life through elements such as division of labor, task sharing, and organization. At the basis of human beings' ability to sustain their existence despite their physically limited capacity lie their advanced cognitive abilities and the collective life practices they developed in line with these abilities. Within the evolutionary process, individuals realized that acting together and organized life are directly related to survival; this situation formed the foundations of the understanding of management. In this context, by examining how the perception and practices of management have been shaped throughout the historical process, the study evaluates the transformation extending from primitive communities to modern organizational structures with a holistic approach.
